Hi Susan I really enjoyed reading about growing up in Ripon. Your Mum and Dad were very attractive and Blanche sounds to have been a character. Now I know why you were so good at making things and why you were attracted to running the cricket club! The photo at 4 could have been Helen. Hope you are all well. LoveMargaret Scott
I am really interested in St Wilfrids Hotel. I lived at no. 5 North Street Ripon and remember the hotel well. We had a sweet shop. I remember it had a sign outside saying the Clavioline was played here and I didn’t know what that was. My parents had a sweet shop and we lived behind and above the shop. I went to Holy Trinity School.
Hope to hear from you. Marcia Thompson (Plummer)
Hi Marcia. I remember Plummer’s sweet shop. I will email you.
