Our visit to Pirate Island Adventure Golf, Castleford. (Jct 32 retail park)

23 Aug

When I was offered complimentary tickets to review the Pirate Island Adventure Golf at Jct 32 retail park (M62) I knew the children would love it and I wasn’t wrong!

It was finding a day when the family could join me for a day out and eventually we got together for a visit last weekend. We have had such an amazing Summer but suddenly it has turned colder. We were lucky that last Saturday was fine and when the sun came out it was warm too.

There is lots of free parking at Jct 32 retail park and you can find the Pirate Island Adventure Golf is in the centre of the retail park and there are lots of resturants and shops here so its a great centre for a day out.

The Pirate theme is brilliant with statues of pirates around the course and strategically places crocodiles and a huge octopus in the surrounding water.

The addition of a raft to ferry us across from one hole to another (across 2 inches of water) was a clever idea

We had a fun morning and from the laughter and happy faces around us  other families who were there appeared to be having a good time too.

Everything on the course looked clean and fresh with golf putters to suit all sizes. The course had interesting holes and was cleverly themed.

We enjoyed our game of golf here and it’s certainly worth paying it a visit.
